75 years of bringing musical theatre magic to the stage in Harpenden.
To mark this special anniversary, we’re thrilled to present our first-ever one-night-only production, fittingly titled ‘Encore!’.
This spectacular celebration will take audiences on a journey through the decades, showcasing a glittering selection of musical theatre favourites from shows HMTC has proudly produced over the years.
From the beloved classics to the show-stopping numbers you know and love, this is a chance to relive the moments that have defined our history. And because HMTC has always had its eye on the future, we’re also adding some new and exciting numbers to the mix that are fresh, dynamic, and full of energy.
‘Encore!’ is an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza, packed with passion, talent, and the unmistakable joy of live theatre.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter or discovering HMTC for the first time, this is a celebration not to be missed.

Come along and join our pre-audition workshops.
We are looking for a talented bunch of performers, primarily from our past and present members, for our one-night celebration, Encore!
We’re looking to cast 12 talented “triple threat” performers aged 8–12 who can sing, dance, and act, helping us bring to life some iconic musical theatre moments featuring young characters.

AUDITIONS
Saturday 9th May 2026
Auditions are open for both soloists and ensemble performers. If you’re auditioning for a featured or solo role, prepare a song from any musical and submit a YouTube/Spotify link or mp3 backing track in advance, including the section you’ll perform. Auditions will focus on storytelling and character, so bring your performance to life, full songs won’t be required due to time limits. Those interested in ensemble-only roles will audition in groups.
